New Amsterdam Market Photo – June 27, 2010 & City of Water Day
The great people at the New Amsterdam Market sent this photo along to me of my parents selling Berkshire Blue:
So nice of them! I’m excited to finally check out the market tomorrow. We’re picking up supplies for a picnic on Governor’s Island and what’s cool is that it coincides with City of Water Day – NYC’s way of making us more aware that we are indeed surrounded by water and how a lot of us are cut-off from this resource. The city wants to start revitalizing the waterfront, making it an accessible place for everyone to enjoy.
I’ve never been to Governor’s Island, so it’ll be an interesting experience. It’s supposed to be very hot, so we’ll be prepared. I’ll be taking photos at the market and of our picnic. Be on the lookout for that update! I hope we’re able to get back to the market before it closes when we’re on our way home to get some stuff since we won’t have a cooler with us. If not, there’s always August!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
I love this picture!!!
