Patio gardening thanks to Sprout Robot!

So, I finally planted my first seeds, courtesy of Sprout Robot.  What I love about this site is that if you’re interested in gardening, they have different options.  Now, living in the city, I don’t have much greenery at my disposal.  Not a problem.  They have an option for patio gardening. I’m lucky enough to have a balcony that has room for a few pots of plants.  I ordered my seeds and towards the end of the week, I received my cucumbers, summer squash and string beans (or pole beans) along with very clear directions on how to plant/take care, etc.

The before

And after

I’m probably going to have to trim that tomato wiring down a bit, but for right now, I think it’s fine.  All I do now is water them every day and make sure they get as much sun as they can.  Once the string beans and cucumbers start growing, I’ll have to buy a little bit of fencing to put behind them so the vines can grow up.

I’m really excited to start growing my own things, especially since I don’t have any land to plant on 🙂

I’ll keep everyone updated on how it’s going.  Lets hope I have a some-what green thumb!
